Lexington Senior High SparkNC Scholars Shine at Apple in Raleigh
On December 11, 2024, Lexington Senior High School SparkNC Scholars, led by Mr. Garland Beamer, the SparkNC Leader, had an incredible opportunity to present at Apple in Raleigh! Violet Shaw, Lennox French, Matthew Robinson, and Glory Robinson showcased their concept for the SparkNC app to a distinguished panel of judges, including tech industry professionals, SparkNC directors, and a student panel group.
The team’s exceptional collaboration and dedication earned them the Team Synergy Award, recognizing their outstanding teamwork and determination throughout the app design process.
Following the presentations, the group enjoyed a private tour of Apple, during which many of the students connected with Apple executives. These connections have already begun opening doors for potential internships and future career opportunities.
This experience doesn’t end here—these talented students will play a pivotal role in the development of the official SparkNC app in the near future.
