Student Support Services

The School Resource Officer supports and facilitates the educational process within Lexington Senior High School by providing a safe and secure environment through building and establishing meaningful relationships with students and staff. The School Resource Officer proactively interacts with the school community to ensure the enforcement of city and state laws, preservation of public order, protection of life and the prevention, detection, or investigation of crime.

Mission Statement:
The Lexington High School library will provide a safe, flexible space for all stakeholders to learn, to engage, to create, to inspire and to build meaningful relationships. Library patrons will become safe and effective users of information, engage critically with ideas, learn respect for each other, prepare for college and the world and find reading materials that are both relevant and enjoyable.

Vision Statement: 
To provide intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats; provide learning experiences that encourage students to become skilled creators of information through instruction that fosters competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas; to provide leadership, collaboration and assistance to educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
