Teacher Expectations

ALL TEACHERS

Beginning Thursday, March 19, all working staff will log their work activities DAILY using the designated LOGS below, regardless of your work schedule or telecommuting status (if applicable). You MUST BE SIGNED IN to your LCS account to access the documents.

Telecommuting Guidelines 


Telecommuting Agreement (please send Agreement to your principal-fillable PDF but must be downloaded)

Elementary Schools WORK LOGS: PK-5

Middle School WORK LOGS: 6-8 

High School WORK LOGS: 9-12


Elementary Grades K-5

 

Week 1 Expectations

  • Students can work on their paper At-Home Learning Packets and access links shared on the Instructional Resource web pages.
  • Elementary C&I Department will add instructional math videos aligned to each math standard for grades 3-5. 
  • Principals will communicate via a weekly newsletter for all families with resources and ideas for continued learning.

Week 2 Expectations

  • Students can continue work on their paper At-Home Learning Packets and access links shared on the Instructional Resource web pages.

Secondary Grades 6 - 12

Grades 6-8

  • Materials must be posted on template provided by school principal.
  • Assignments will be provided each day (plan for 10 days initially) and be aligned to your standard course of study.
  • Emails will be checked and responded to during scheduled Office Hours. See Office Hours Schedule HERE, which will be used to respond to individual student questions/needs. You may reference the Staff Directory for email addresses.
  • All teachers will meet face-to-face when possible, and then virtually if work locations change (at home). Teacher will use Google Hangouts Meet during scheduled Professional Learning Days & Times (PLT).
  • All communication with students must be logged using the designated Communication Log. Communication with students is expected.


Grades 9-12

  • Materials will be provided through Canvas or other online platforms as indicated on the teacher’s website.
  • Assignments should be provided each day (plan for 10 days initially) and be aligned to your standard course of study.
  • Emails will be checked and responded to during scheduled Office Hours. Office Hours will be used to respond to individual student questions/needs. See schedule on the 9-12 Instructional Resources page.
  • All classes that use Google Hangouts Meet for Virtual Classroom Sessions will be recorded and posted on the Teacher’s Websites for students to access any time. 
  • All teachers will meet virtually using Google Hangouts Meet during scheduled Professional Learning Times (PLT).
